Computer Art Design

This new course has been created in order to meet the needs and requirements of the most modern trends of the 21 century. In the era of fast development and the propagation of new technologies there is a huge demand for educating highly-qualified professionals. The professional in question is a graphics designer who links knowledge and artistic creativity with the skills of using the state-of-the-art computers equipped with advanced applications and tools.

The course bridges the gap between the artistic fine arts graphics and the computer graphics and familiarizes students with such tools as CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXPress, InDesign, Flash, 3D Studio Max, ArchiCAD. The practical components of the course are linked with the core fine arts subjects such as (drawing, painting, sculpture, composition) or humanities-oriented areas such as (history of arts, esthetics, philosophy, and the sociology of advertisement).

Upon completion of the second semester students select their specialisation out of the two options: DESIGN GRAPHICS and ARTISTIC GRAPHICS. At these two specializations students can write their diploma dissertations in 4 different areas:

  • Design graphics
  • Artistic graphics
  • Computer Animation and WWW
  • Computer Design

DIPLOMA – consists of a design project and a theoretical thesis which relates to the practical aspects of the project work
